MessageCue App

Communication is very important to Scoil Ursula. To this end we are going to trial a new smartphone app to replace whole school and whole class texting. Text messages cost the school a lot of money each year and this new app will be much cheaper for us, it’s free for you to use and you don’t need to give any information to anyone, like phone numbers, to receive the messages. It’s also very easy to use and find the groups you want to receive messages from.
It’s just a few steps

1. Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (Click on the underlined words to go directly to the stores)
2. Search for “Scoil Ursula”
3. Find the class group(s) your child(ren) are in and click the follow button
4. Follow the Scoil Ursula Parents Group too for general school messages
5. Now you’ll receive notifications instead of texts from Scoil Ursula

NB: Please note that, for iphones especially, the app needs to run in the background so it’s important that you don’t force it to shut down. The app uses very little battery or memory to keep running. If you force shut it down then you will only see new messages when you open the app again.
