Last week the staff of Scoil Ursula had a very informative presentation by Debbie Woodward on the topic of Internet Safety. Debbie is very experienced in this area and has set up and runs the excellent blog: Be Web Safe. Thanks to Debbie we can share some of her knowledge in the area with you. The NCCA (National Council for Curriculum and Assessment) has developed some new maths resources for parents in partnership with the Marino Institute of Education. They include 12 video clips and two tip sheets all focused on the infant level in primary schools. The purpose of the resources is to share ideas and tips with parents for things they can do using everyday items, to help their children learn and have fun with maths.
