The Active School Flag we hope to win! Following on from the amazing success of our school in achieving our 5th Green Flag recently we have decided to promote fitness in Scoil Ursula by participating in the Active School Flag programme. This will involve encouraging all of our school community to be more active throughout the day and to celebrate all of our many "active" achievements in sport and play.
We are going to run a competition to select a logo and slogan for the programme in our school. There will also be some responsible senior pupils organising games for the younger pupils in our school during break times.
The programme was launched this morning at our Senior Assembly where Mr. Gallagher and Ms. E. Caffrey spoke about the importance of being active and all the fun you can have doing it.
There are lots of ideas and resources that parents can check out by following this link. We hope you will encourage all of your friends and family to become more active and join in the great fun we will have in Scoil Ursula by making our school the most active school in Sligo...or maybe even in the country!
