Christmas Assembly

We had a wonderful celebration this morning of prayer, song and music in the Hall as we gathered together to welcome Baby Jesus into our lives again this Christmas.
We've had a wonderful year so far in Scoil Ursula and we'd like to thank each and every person for helping us make our school the caring, nurturing place for teaching and learning that it is today.
From our Board of Management, Parents Association, teachers and staff to all the boys and girls and to the wider community of helpers, volunteers, coaches, artists and musicians, each and every person has contributed so much to the life of our school .
We wish each and every one a Happy Holy and Peaceful Christmas wil every good wish and blessing for the New Year!

Junior Infant Nativity

Well done to our youngest stars of stage, the Junior Infant classes who performed a beautiful uplifting nativity play this morning called "Woops a Daisy Angel". A big thank you to their wonderful teachers, Ms Cogan, Ms Dwyer & Mrs Corcoran who produced and directed this marvellous performance. We also thank our Student Council for their ushering and fund-raising all this week at all our shows. Thanks to them and the generosity of our parents & staff, we raised €750 for the Marcus Moore Trust for Cancer Research and Sligo Social Services. We are grateful to our Chairperson, Marian Moore, (Marcus' mum) and Lisa (his sister) who provided us with spot prizes for our after-show raffles in aid of these worthy causes. Christmas Assembly

On our last day at school before the Chrismas holidays we had a wonderful Christmas Assembly. We had some very special guests at our Assembly; members of the Board of Management: Canon Tom Hever, John Mc Nabola and our Chairperson Marian Moore.
There was plenty of stories, prayer, song and live music! We've got some clips of the fantastic singing and music with thanks to everyone who took part and especially to Ms. Branley for organising our talented music group and practicing the songs with all of the classes.
Everyone here in Scoil Ursula would like to wish you and yours a Happy, Holy and Peaceful Christmas full of joy and laughter and the very best wishes for the New Year.

Ms. Burke's 2nd Class Christmas Tale

Today we had 2nd class tell, show and sing us the tale of Santa Claus and all his woes with transport as he tried to deliver one last present that he had for a boy who lived...far far away!

Senior Infants Christmas Magic

Junior Infant Christmas Nativity Performance

Last week we were all treated to a fantastic performance of "It's a Baby!", a nativity sing along play by Mrs. Corcoran's and Ms. Dwyer's Junior Infant Classes. The whole school came along to the Halla to share in this great Christmas tradition.
We were able to record clips of the play so that you can see the Oscar winners of the future in action!
Well done to all of the pupils and staff involved in this wonderful production!

CAROL-SINGING

Our annual Carol Singing event will take place in the Quayside Shopping Centre on Saturday 15th of December from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. We are calling all volunteers from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class to join us again to have some fun for a few hours. Full Brown Uniform and a Santa Hat will be worn by all students. A permission slip has been sent home via your children. There will be a 1 hour rehearsal in the cookery room at 6.15pm on Thursday 13th - we would ask that all parents collect their children on both days and that permission slips would be completed and returned on Thursday 13th at the rehearsal. We would also be very grateful for any parents help on the day to help us collect money.
