Autumn Poetry

We made concept maps about Autumn in our groups. We used this to make Autumn poems based on our senses.

In Autumn I see children playing,
In Autumn I hear children sing,
In Autumn I smell hot coco,
In Autumn I taste hot chocolate,
In Autumn I feel cold.
(Ben B, Kyron, Emily)

In Autumn I see people hanging up Halloween decorations,
In Autumn I hear the wind swishing the leaves,
In Autumn I smell marshmallows and hot chocolate,
In Autumn I taste the candy I collected on Halloween night,
In Autumn I feel the weather getting colder.
(Caoimhe M, Ayesha, Kian, Odhran)

In Autumn I see leaves,
In Autumn I hear wind,
In Autumn I smell hot chocolate,
In Autumn I taste the hot tea
In Autumn I feel wind.
(Cathal, Lucy, Julian)

In Autumn I see swallows flying away to Africa,
In Autumn I hear birds sing,
In Autumn I smell hot chocolate,
In Autumn I taste cake,
In Autumn I feel the leaves.
(Nimah, Hannah, Richard)

In Autumn I see flowers,
In Autumn I hear the leaves crunching,
In Autumn I smell pie,
In Autumn I taste cake,
In Autumn I feel grass.
(Kate, Christian, Niamh B)

In Autumn I see costumes,
In Autumn I hear wind,
In Autumn I smell hot coco,
In Autumn I taste treats,
In Autumn I feel cold.
(Ben H. Adam, Jude, Caoimhe D)

In Autumn I see the last rays of sun,
In Autumn I hear birds,
In Autumn I smell the flowers,
In Autumn I taste hot pie,
In Autumn I feel leaves.
(Emma Jonathan, Orlaith, Oliwia)
