As part of our School Improvement Plan to raise literacy standards in our school, we are asking parents to donate new or used books for our Classroom Libraries. The Parents' Association have generously donated €1,000 to provide new books for our libraries and some parents have already made donations of books to the school. If you have books at home that your children have outgrown and they are taking up room on your bookshelves please feel free to drop them in to us.

Please be aware of the following criteria:

• The books must be in good condition (If they are not enticing to your children at home, they won't be attractive to children at school either).
• Novels and storybooks only please (no comics, magazines, annuals etc.)
• Any reading level from 4yrs to 12yrs is acceptable but please be careful not to include teenage literature that might not be suitable.

You can drop off suitable books to Mary at the front office or send them in with your children.
