Bíonn gach tús lag!
Picture
Today we practised some tin whistle songs. Here is a short taster!
We also sang the national anthem of Ireland-Amhrán na bhFiann and Ireland's call. 'Up the Irish!'

Here are the lyrics for Ireland's call:
Ireland's Call

Come the day and come the hour
Come the power and the glory
We have come to answer
Our Country's call
From the four proud provinces of Ireland

Ireland, Ireland
Together standing tall
Shoulder to shoulder
We'll answer Ireland's call

From the mighty Glens of Antrim
From the rugged hills of Galway
From the walls of Limerick
And Dublin Bay
From the four proud provinces of Ireland

Ireland, Ireland
Together standing tall
Shoulder to shoulder
We'll answer Ireland's call

Hearts of steel
And heads unbowing
Vowing never to be broken
We will fight, until
We can fight no more
From the four proud provinces of Ireland

Ireland, Ireland
Together standing tall
Shoulder to shoulder
We'll answer Ireland's call

Here are the notes for Hail Glorious St Patrick!Hail, Glorious St. Patrick

The following are notes for tin whistle in the key of D

I cant believe how it turned out so good , I wouldn't be surprised if our class had to sing Ireland's call for the six nations !

I love the blog, it's really turning out to be a nice one, maybe we've got as much chance as Mr.Mitchell did for winning the Spider Awards?
