We all worked in groups to create this fabulous Winter Frieze!
Have a listen to the class playing some lovely tunes on the tin whistle!
We learned about the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch. We heard about his tragic life, the background of his most famous painting, entitled 'The Scream' and how there had been many attempted burglaries of that painting! We produced our own version and made them a little bit more original by surrounding the pictures with things that make us scream! We painted some beautiful and very colourful Winter trees. We painted a different bright colour in between the tree silhouette, which makes the trees stand out more. They look fabulous! We recently learned a lot about Romans such as their origins, military, constructions, daily life, trade, homes, work, leisure and pastimes, and cultural and artistic achievements. We watched this short video called Rome Reborn, which is a virtual tour of Ancient Rome in A.D. 320. Keep practicing at home and we'll be amazing this Christmas!
Don't forget to practice all our catchy nativity songs at home!
