The teachers and pupils were asked to contribute a Christmas tree decoration made from recyclable materials for the Christmas tree festival in Lissadell. 50+ trees were displayed decorated by schools and community groups. There was a great response and some beautiful decorations, glittery lanterns, paper doily angels, paper chains, pictures and mini trees made from pieces of jigsaw puzzle. Our tree was one of the biggest and had one of the prime positions amongst all the others. There was a great crowd of visitors all over the weekend to see all the trees and visit the craft stalls. Nationwide, the TV programme, also came out to film so keep an eye out on the television for a look at all the trees. Donations from the festival were going to support Acquired Brain Injury and the Lissadell Centre. Any child that made a decoration and would like to bring it home they will be in a box in the cookery room until the end of the week. Thanks to all the teachers and pupils who contributed.
