An information evening on the topic of Internet Safety will take place in Sligo Education Centre (on the grounds of IT Sligo) on Monday the 27th of February at 7:30pm. This workshop, delivered by your local National Parents Council Sligo County Branch, focuses on strategies for improving communication between parents and children and negotiating boundaries relating to their internet use. Parents will get to hear young people talk about how they use the internet, why it is attractive to them and get an insight into children's main worries when online, such as cyber bullying. Parents will be introduced to strategies to help their children be responsible, effective and safer internet users.
