This week I read Never Wash Your Hair. I liked this book because it was cool and funny. This book was about a boy called Tom,and in his school people don't wash their hair because clean hair has nits. But one day Toms mum was checking his hair for nits. When she combed what she that was a nit Tom looks at it carefully and sees that it has arms and legs and it was swimming. Tom picked it up,he took the magnifining glass off his mum and looked at it. Then he realised it was a little monkey. He told his mum and she started worrying. The next Tom went to the doctors. The doctor was a very nice girl. She looked at the monkeys closely and then asked him where they had gone.Tom told her he was out looking for squirrels. Then the doctor went to the phone and called someone.I would give this book nine out of ten.

This week I read KING MIDAS and other tales I kind of liked it it was about a secret village between two mountains and when it snowed at the top of the mountains the snow would melt and make a river in the village and silver would come with the water and the mountains were called Parichata and Tati Tugui after the spirits that lived within them. Parichata was a special mountain. It had a hidden secret. The mountain was rich in silver! After the rains, nuggets of silver would wash down into the village. The people would collect silver from the river beds and make jewellery and trinkets.
