Today we were working on a reading strategy called prediction. This means we have to guess what might happen. Before reading we predicted what would happen in the story "Tiddler, the story telling fish" by Julia Donaldson. We looked at the cover of the book and got clues from the title and the pictures. We made lots of guesses and we drew a picture of what might happen. Then teacher read the story. Tiddler was a fish who was always telling stories and was always late for school. During the story we guessed why Tiddler was late for school again! Next time you read a story at home why not ask us to predict what will happen.
